🔎 Things to Watch: Wild at Canucks

1️⃣ Playoff Clinching Watch

Tonight’s stakes are massive. If the Wild beat Vancouver and the Blues lose in regulation to Seattle, Minnesota punches its ticket to the 2025 Stanley Cup Playoffs. The magic number is down to 3. Every shift matters.

2️⃣ Bounce Back TimeAfter a sluggish start in Calgary that ended in a 4-2 loss, the Wild are looking to reset fast. They’ve lost six straight on the road (0-4-2) and need to shake that trend immediately.

3️⃣ Kaprizov + Ek Reloaded
Both stars returned with fireworks against San Jose (6 points combined), but were held quiet in Calgary. Look for a recharged top line to lead the way in a must-win battle.

4️⃣ Spurgeon Status
Captain Jared Spurgeon took a puck to the throat Friday and left the game early. He returned briefly but didn’t finish. All eyes will be on whether he suits up tonight—and how the D-core holds up either way.

5️⃣ Zeev is Coming
Top prospect Zeev Buium is on his way to Minnesota and is expected to make his NHL debut in the season finale Tuesday. The 19-year-old logged 51:41 in his final NCAA game and could be a difference-maker if the Wild make the playoffs.

6️⃣ Middleton Nearing Return
The Wild’s rugged blueliner Jake Middleton is close to rejoining the lineup. He could bolster the blue line depth just in time for a playoff push.

7️⃣ Vancouver’s Special Teams Surge
Since February 1, the Canucks own the best PK in the NHL at 87.9%. Minnesota’s power play will need to be sharp after going 0-for-2 last night.

8️⃣ Roadhouse Rivalry
The Wild are 11-5-0 in their last 16 visits to Rogers Arena and 14-4-1 in their last 19 overall against the Canucks. If history holds, Minnesota might just steal the 2 points they desperately need.
